"We listened
to all the tracks on the CD... fantastic job! We liked these
tracks the most: Planet Rave, Euphoria, and both versions of
U.F.O. All in all, a great CD." - Gary Cannavo, MASSPOOL
DJ ASSOCIATION
"Great dance music! Very
hot cuts on all of this CD!" - Ronnie Matthews aka Captain
Kirk, Starfleet Music Pool & Enterprises
***** FIVE STARS ***** "Excellent,"
says Luis DeLima (Diva Lounge) and "Hot," says O. Baez
(El Jardin) of Rickett's Record Pool
"Club music, by its very
nature, is designed to appeal less to your intellect and more
to your feet. It either makes you want to dance (or workout,
drive, or move in one fashion or another), or it fails. The mix
mistress known as Gorgeous Girl (aka Divinity Lee) understands
this principle like Teller knew the atom. On her latest CD, Wild
Ride (MP3.com), she breaks down songs into their most basic components
and then builds them up again, piling on percussion beats and
keyboard riffs. The effect is exactly what the title advertises,
a wild ride that is sometimes spacey (Pulsar, U.F.O.), sometimes
brooding (Cold N'Dark), occasionally seductive (Sex in the City),
but always worth the trip. You may notice elements of everyone
from Donna Summer to Gary Numan to Ultravox to Vangelis in her
work, yet she pulls it all together beautifully, with a style
that expresses her own vision. She also has an EP available,
Through the Looking Glass, with great dance tracks like Euphoria."
